eero makes mesh Wi-Fi built around a simple app: setup takes minutes and there’s little to configure. Units of different generations work together, from Wi-Fi 6 to Wi-Fi 7.

Many eero units also act as a Thread border router for smart home devices. Advanced filtering and security features need eero Plus, a paid subscription.

Yes. eero systems work with Alexa voice commands, and many eero units can connect Thread and Matter smart home devices.

Does eero need a subscription?

Can I mix eero generations?

Yes. Newer and older eero units work together in one network, though older units cap the speed in their part of the home.
