Privacy Policy
Last updated October 15, 2026
This policy explains what information is collected when you use routermag.com (“RouterMag”, “we”, “us”).
Information we collect
We don’t ask you to create an account and we don’t collect your name or email unless you choose to email us.
-
Server and security logs. Our hosting and content delivery provider (Cloudflare) processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, so it can deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
-
Emails you send us. If you contact us, we keep your message and email address to reply and to track spec corrections. We don’t add you to any mailing list.
-
Your comparison list. The routers you pick to compare are stored in your browser’s session storage on your own device. It is cleared when you close the tab and is never sent to us.
-
Visit counts. We use Ahrefs Web Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages get read. It sets no cookies and doesn’t identify you: your IP address only gives an approximate city and a same-day unique-visit count, then it’s dropped, not stored. Page addresses are recorded, so filters in an address (like
?wifi=Wi-Fi+7) show up in anonymous totals.
We don’t use advertising cookies of our own.
Amazon and other third parties
RouterMag participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. Third parties, including Amazon, may serve content and collect information directly from visitors, and may place or recognize cookies on your browser when you click an affiliate link or interact with Amazon content. This lets Amazon attribute purchases to our referral. Amazon’s handling of that information is governed by Amazon’s Privacy Notice.
Links to manufacturer websites take you to sites with their own privacy policies.
Fonts
Our fonts are served from our own domain. Loading a page does not send your data to a font provider.
Your choices
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site works without them.
- You can ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to delete your emails, by writing to hello@routermag.com.
- Residents of California and other states with privacy laws can exercise their rights the same way. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Children
RouterMag is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
We will post any changes on this page and update the date above.
